Senior Pastor A.D. Dillard, MBA MCM
Our Senior Pastor A.D. Dillard is a Bible Based Preacher and teacher. He is a Spirit Filled scholar , that takes seriously 2Timothy 2;15 “Study to show thyself approved unto God , a workman that needs not to be ashamed. Rightly dividing the Word of truth.” Pastor Dillard served 24 years in the United States Air force, and retired in 1998. He accepted a call to ministry in 1973 at the age of 16. He has been providing leadership to the First Baptist family since 2002. Pastor Dillard currently holds a Masters in Christian Ministry and an MBA in Management from Wayland Baptist University. While he believes that knowledge about God and His Word is the primary step in improving ones life, he is a firm believer in the importance of education as a tool in improving the human condition. His approach to Biblical teaching is “Truth Trumps Tradition”. “And ye shall know the truth and the truth will make you free”. John 8:32 KJV
First Lady Brenda Dillard
Our First Lady Brenda Walker Dillard is the epitome of a virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31. She is a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother to her family as well as a faithful member and Ministry Leader of the First Baptist Church (NBC) Hospitality Ministry.
She was born in Magnolia, Arkansas and raised in Texarkana, Texas. She currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Master of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas. First Lady Dillard served 38 years as a Civil Servant with the Federal Government. In her 38 years she served in many roles that includes, Contract Specialist; Contract Administrator; Senior Contract Negotiator; Contracting Officer; and Small Business Programs Director. During her tenure with the Federal Government she lived in Huntsville, Alabama; Long Beach, California; Cerritos, California; Moreno Valley, California; San Antonio, Texas and currently Boerne, Texas.
In addition to serving as the Ministry Leader to the Hospitality Ministry she holds lifetime memberships in the following organizations:
- Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated;
- San Antonio Interdenominational Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows (SAIAMWMW);
- National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP);
- Women in the NAACP (WIN) and,
- National Contract Management Association (NCMA)
She is a loving and supporting wife and shining example to the ladies of First Baptist and the community to what it means to serve with grace, humility and class. She always speaks with a kind word and warm smile for everyone who enters her presence.
